CLR - colour
An exercise of sorts ~ wanted to use just one brush for the entire colouring process, oil heavy flow brush. Switched back and forth with just the brush and eraser tools (playing with scatter on some areas like the water and sky). I was trying to do an Art Novaeu-ish style for the frame (and the overall look actually)...not sure if I succeeded, but I like it  Overall I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out  ~ will post the original lineart later. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. Other than that, good work. I love how you've managed to make paint-like shading and strong lineart work together, something that I still haven't mastered.
I have a pretty laid back style when it comes to colouring my work, and don't really tend to concentrate on parts of my pieces unfortunately
But thanks for the tip! I'll definitely re-work the hair some time to give it more life
